Cantor-in-Residence

A Cantor-in-Residence weekend is a wonderful way for your community to benefit from the knowledge, creativity and talents of a guest cantor over a short period of time. Whether your community is a smaller congregation that would benefit from an opportunity to experience the gifts a cantor can offer, or a larger congregation that wants to create a special community-building event, the Cantor-in-Residence weekend is a great way to benefit the entire congregation.

I will collaborate with your clergy and lay-leadership to tailor the weekend to your synagogue's unique needs. In addition to joyful music and inspiring worship, a Cantor-in-Residence weekend may also include masterclasses with your choirs, worship bands, song leaders and service lay leaders. I can lead engaging learning sessions on many topics including cantillation, Torah study, life-cycle, holidays and Jewish music. If your community enjoys expressing joy through Israeli dancing, I can lead dance sessions for all ages and levels of experience.

The culmination of the weekend can be my one-woman-show, Love's Journey, which has been enjoyed by audiences worldwide. The show takes viewers on a wonderful journey through life and love, woven together with Broadway favorites, monologue and beloved American standards.
